Update on Baby Ruth's health

Baby Ruth's development has been overwhelmingly good over the last 5 months. She enjoys sound health and has also put on weight. She has now started crawling on her legs and she also responds to her name. She is very cheerful and takes baby food called 'Cerelac' once a day. Every month, Rs.500 is spent on her milk (tin milk). She has big eyes and sleeps well in the night and plays happily during the day time. We are very happy to have Baby Ruth in our home.

Baby girl rescued from certain death…

This baby girl would not have been alive today but for the cleaner woman in the hospital who rescued her, thinking the Girls home will take care of this baby anyway… This beautiful baby girl has been fed, clothed and taken care of from the 25th of March 2008, when she was brought to the Share In Asia Girls home.

The baby’s mother is known to be a widow who was involved in wrong acts. She had hid her pregnancy from her two young sons, saying that there was a big tumor in her stomach and let them know that she was going to the hospital to get rid of the tumor.

When she delivered the baby girl in the hospital, she asked the nurse to kill the baby by injecting some strong drugs. But when the cleaner at the hospital heard about this she paid Rs. 3000 for the hospital expenses of the baby and rescued the baby and brought her to the Share In Asia Tsunami Relief Home for girls at Sirkali.

The Mother has gone into hiding and does not want anything to do with the baby. It has now been nearly a month since this baby has come to the home. The baby comes without a father or a mother but needs love, care and support. Would you contribute towards the future of this baby?
