Board and Founders:

Share in Asia was founded in 1996 by Andrew and Savita Prakasam. The Internal Revenue Service has classified Share in Asia as a non-profit organization organized under section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Share in Asia is governed by a group of board members. All accounts are audited for accuracy and submitted to the appropriate reporting agencies. Any information regarding this can be freely obtained in writing to Share in Asia offices. Please send a self addressed envelope for the information requested.

Andrew and Savita Prakasam are the Founders of Share in Asia. He hails from India, now settled in Kirkland, Washington with his family. He graduated with a BA from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida and continued his education with a Masters Degree from Asia Graduate school in Bangalore, India. With a vision to help the poor and the under privileged in India, he reached the shores of the United States in 1995 and started Share in Asia. Now through Share in Asia, over a 1000 children are helped on a monthly basis along with widows, women who have been battered, families with low income, disaster relief homes, financial aid to students, building community halls, public schools, leprosy rehabilitation, tribal people help and various other projects through out India. He personally overseas many of the projects and makes sure it is done right. He lives with his wife Savita, and their two beautiful children Neil and Hannah.
